“It is important for us to work together & serve our community because in order to grow we must give back. In many cases we all experience different lessons in life. By working together we can mentor a help those who come behind us. By finding out what is needed we can build a bridge to aid in the growth of the youth who shall be our future.”
Ervin Mack
“It’s important for us to work together to serve our community because the community is in desperate need of positive leadership and role models to help turn lives around. So many young lives have been influenced by the ways of the world, which is leading them away from Christ. I feel that with the beliefs of BTSSC and my love of Christ to lead others, there is an opportunity to truly impact and change lives.”
Elizabeth Grove
“I feel it’s important for us to work together to serve others and seek to meet the needs of others in our community because a lot of people don’t know how to ask for help. Others don’t feel comfortable allowing themselves to be vulnerable enough to receive help (pride gets in the way). It’s important for us to share ourselves with others, to create a safe space where people feel comfortable enough to be honest with themselves. Learning how to give and receive guidance and support from others is an acquired skill. Learning to do this in a support and non- judgmental way is important to me.”
Kim Williams
“It is important for us to work together and serve our community because Jesus calls us to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace in 1 Peter 4.”
Taylor Shytle
“It is important for us to work together and serve our community in this way because I have been there, and I want to help give a perspective that I never had.”
Ashley Davis
“It is most critical that we work together to serve our community and meet any needs that we can because we must spread God’s love. Any success that we have experienced is because someone poured into us and cultivated our interest and talents. It’s important that we reciprocate the spirit of service and good will.”
Dina King
“Proverbs 3:27 tells us “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it.” I believe in order for a community to thrive we all have to play an integral part in it. We all have God given talents & it is important to share those gifts with others. A community that stands together has the potential to be very strong. It promotes change NOT complacency. Our children are our future. The community has to not only invest in their success but we have to recognize the overall need of each individual family in order to advocate for that success. When we stop saying , “Not my problem” or “Thank God that’s NOT my child” we will recognize that we are ALL connected somehow. Today’s children will one day be our leaders. They will run the government, they will be our CEO, the workers of the world. But if we don’t recognize the need, they will also be the murders, rapist and homeless of the world. How can we change the statistics that are leading us towards inevitable chaos? By Impacting one child, one family, one community at a time. Together we are strong. Change can be infectious & what a beautiful world it has the potential to be.”
T. Rousey
“It’s important for us to know the needs of our community so that we can truly make a difference in areas that matter the most. We don’t want to do good things just for the sake of it, we want to intentionally serve our community and make a personal impact. The more we work together, the bigger the impact we are able to make.”
